The main requirements for the jazz senior recitals is that the recitalist prepares at least eight pieces to fulfill the stylistic requirements determined by the faculty, and that the program is roughly an hour or more in length as a “full” recital. More specific requirements and details for the recital vary at the discretion of the applied instructors, but it is expected that the recital demonstrates and reflects the student’s musical growth made while at ECU.
