By incorporating a use factor, such as the one developed by George Bonn, Barricella and Shirkey hope to distribute the money for books in a way that more closely represents actual usage patterns for the collection. During the presentation, the speakers will give a history of the materials allocation plan used by Joyner Library since the 1980's, talk about using Bonn's measure on our collection, and outline what our new materials allocation plan will look like.en-USAcademic librariesCollection development (Libraries)Allocation formulasAcquisitionsAdding a Use Factor Measure to a Materials Allocation Plan for Books in an Academic LibraryPresentation
