Signage, sculpture and antique transportation technology influence the technical processes and geometric forms which support a surface inspired by my exploration in the history of automotive painting techniques. Despite the specificity of my influences, a universal visual language of patterning and shapes emerges within the work. This recognizable language forces people to associate meaning with the objects, whether they want to or not. With this tactic, I wish to slow the speed of modern life and (re)explore our connection to the past.
