A scoping review examining effects of carotenoid supplementation on inflammatory markers

Abstract

The purpose of the project is to conduct a scoping review to examine effects of carotenoid supplementation on inflammatory markers. We will examine vitamin supplements and food-based supplements, effects on specific inflammatory markers, and will examine changes in specific inflammatory markers by specific carotenoid species, including both randomized controlled trials and pre/post quasi-experimental studies.
