    Abstract
This document is written in conjunction with a series of work titled, Reflect. Through historical research, personal narrative, interviews, and the making process, I examine the differences between loneliness and solitude, and address the stigma of being alone. The physical body of work emphasizes the importance of solitude and its benefits.
