Abstract
This quality improvement project evaluated a structured mindfulness-based intervention within a nurse residency program to reduce performance anxiety and improve self-confidence among new graduate nurses. Findings demonstrated decreased anxiety and increased confidence over time. For staff development educators, this project provides a practical, evidence-based framework to integrate psychosocial support strategies into residency programs, enhancing nurse well-being, strengthening clinical confidence, and supporting successful transition to professional practice.
