SHAUN GIZDIC: THE WRITING AND PERFORMING OF ORIGINAL MUSIC

Abstract

Throughout two semesters, spanning from spring to fall of 2022, the creative endeavors of writing and performing music have been utilized in this signature honors project. Through the processes of music-oriented assignments, brainstorming, writing lyrics, writing music, seeking feedback, finalizing, recording, and performing, three complete songs, as well as the introductory steps to more songs were crafted. This process of music creativity did not originate from this project, however, it originated from deep passion and appreciation in the craft of music. With over a decade of musical experience, the creative endeavor project model made sense to utilize as a creative outlet.
