Abstract
Current research has shown minority medical students are more likely to withdraw from medical school. However, there is less literature explaining the attrition rates of minority and marginalized medical students in current medical education. Understanding these factors is crucial for implementing effective interventions that increase minority student retention and graduation rates. This study seeks to understand the factors that contribute to minority medical student attrition and retention rates, and to offer solutions to narrow the gap in medical education disparities among minority and marginalized students in comparison to white counterparts.
