Facial nerve repair is rare and occurs in a variety of settings: trauma, iatrogenic, or oncologic sacrifice. Evidence suggests that return of function is less achievable among those with cancer involvement of the nerve. There have been several studies describing outcomes across all settings but there is no SR/MA summarizing outcomes among those with cancer specifically.
