The purpose of this project was to assess the resilience of nurses caring for COVID patients and to implement evidence-based strategies to improve resilience. The setting for the project was an academic medical center during the COVID pandemic as the medical center prepared for the anticipated surge of COVID patients. The CD-RISC-10 tool was used to measure nurse resilience before and after implementation. Resilience scores did not increase after interventions. As the pandemic waned, nurses reported burnout and exhaustion. Further study of nurses who cared for COVID patients is recommended.en_US
