Abstract

Abstract This paper explores the connection between modern dance and healing from post-traumatic stress. A case study of Alfredo Hurtado, a U.S. Army veteran wounded in combat and present-day modern dancer, is used to illustrate how modern dance helped him cope with PTSD. The study integrates both qualitative and quantitative methods, including interviews and personality assessments, to assess how dance contributed to his healing.
