This dataset contains a set of synchronized observations of local weather and single frequency acoustic transmission loss over several measurement sessions that occurred during June and July 2023. Specifically, an anchored acoustic source transmits single frequency tones to two seven-meter, seven-channels microphone arrays. The first array is positioned at the shore line such that sound travels only over water. The second array is positioned on the same path but inland by 370 meters. Wind speed profiles are measured by a 3D Doppler scanning LIDAR and temperature profiles are measured by two arrays of temperature sensors. The dataset includes excess attenuation, sound pressure level of the signal and sound pressure level of the noise. This data supports validation of atmospheric acoustic propagation models for the particularly challenging case of the littoral environment.
