Abstract

Love is like an Ironman Triathlon - filled with highs and lows, way longer and tougher than a marathon and a hundred and fourteen times more worth it. Henry and Allison clicked from the moment they met in the TV newsroom where they worked. They had the job in common and a passionate attraction to each other. But there are many others who don't want them to be together. Navigating their relationship becomes a major issue when Henry loses his job, is replaced by Allison and moves 12-hundred miles away. Other potential lovers have the opportunity to fill the states wide space between Henry and Allison. Henry and Allison's love and relationship parallels Allison's attempt at completing Ironman Lake Placid. Just her doing the 140.6 mile race is amazing in and of itself, since she is not a runner nor a bicyclist and you can forget about swimming. However, she shares Ironman's mantra of "Anything is Possible" to make it through the up to 17-hour-long race. This romantic drama is filled with raw emotion, as even the simplest moments in life can lead to excruciating levels of pain. Throughout this journey, Henry and Allison are also given an opportunity to reinvent themselves in ways they never imagined.
