Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a commonly diagnosed condition in children and adolescents. Much is known about the disorder, but researchers continue to study new treatment options to address symptoms associated with the disorder. Recently, researchers have focused their attention on digital therapeutic options for ADHD treatment. Specifically, research has shifted to examining the effectiveness of video game interventions for ADHD or serious games. Despite this shift in focus, no research has been conducted to examine if adolescents with ADHD are interested in playing serious games and whether their confidence impacts their interest. In this study, a mediation analysis was conducted to examine whether there is an indirect effect of confidence on the relationship between ADHD and interest in serious games.
