Abstract
This body of work, developed through a combination of ceramics, painting, and mixed-media collage, reflects my ongoing exploration into the science and psychology of memory. My memories have shaped who I am, connecting me to the places I called home throughout childhood, and informing my sense of identity and belonging. Each piece reconstructs fragments of memory, guided by home videos, family photographs, and retellings of shared narratives. Through them, I celebrate the landscapes, homes, and moments that continue to ground me. Despite a mobile upbringing, I have discovered a deep and enduring sense of stability through alternate means – leaving me to feel rooted, nevertheless.
