Abstract
This study was conducted to understand the impact parental incarceration has on emerging adult's depression, anxiety, and substance abuse behavior. Researchers were also interested to see if resilience was a moderator of the outcomes. Data was collected using Qualtrics an online survey program. A survey was sent out via social media, the NCFR listserv, and across the University "Announce" list. Overall results suggest parental incarceration has an impact on emerging adult's levels of anxiety. Results also suggest there is no significant relationship between parental incarceration and current levels of depression and substance abuse behavior.
